Additional Fees
In addition to the respective service fees, the following additional costs may apply.
- Delivery Handling Fee
- Calculated based on the destination, delivery method, carrier, shipping charges, packaging material costs, cash-on-delivery handling fees, transportation costs required for receipt, document delivery or communication costs, and other handling-related costs incurred in connection with the provision of the Service.
- If any other fees arise, services will be provided only after an estimate is presented and your prior consent is obtained.
Exchanges and Returns
Due to the nature of the Service, which involves lost item investigation, pickup, and delivery arrangements, we do not accept exchanges or returns once the Service has commenced.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may request cancellation in writing or by email.
Refunds in the event of cancellation are handled as follows:
- If cancellation is made before the Service has commenced, a full refund will be made.
- If cancellation is made after the investigation has commenced but before the item is found, the initial fee will not be refunded.
- If cancellation is made after the item is found, the service fee will not be refunded.
- If cancellation is made after collection of the item has been completed, neither the service fee nor any delivery-related costs already incurred will be refunded.
- In the case of a refund due to the customer’s convenience, payment processing fees charged by the payment provider may be deducted from the refund amount.
Our Liability for Loss or Damage to Items
If loss or damage to an item occurs during the provision of the Service and it is clearly caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability shall be limited to the total amount of service fees you paid directly to Japan Lost and Found Service for the relevant service (excluding delivery-related costs, customs duties, and taxes).
Any loss of or damage to items during transit is the responsibility of the shipping carrier. We are not liable for damage caused by the shipping carrier, but we will cooperate to a reasonable extent if you need to make inquiries with the carrier.
Delivery Times
- Search Service
- It typically takes 3 to 7 business days from the start of the investigation to report the results. This period may vary depending on the nature or complexity of the search.
- Pickup & Delivery Service
- After your item has been collected, we will begin arranging international shipment. Typically, it takes 3 to 20 business days for the item to arrive at your destination after shipping arrangements are completed. Tracking information will be provided.
- Full Service
- The total timeframe depends on the investigation, pickup arrangements, and destination. Delivery time may vary depending on the nature of the item, the shipping carrier, and the destination country.
Accepted Payment Methods
Credit card payments only, within the payment methods provided by Stripe.
Payment Period
Credit card payments are processed immediately.
- Search Service requires payment of the initial fee before the investigation begins. Any success-based fee will only be charged if the item is found.
- Pickup & Delivery Service requires payment of the service fee before pickup arrangements begin. The Delivery Handling Fee will be charged separately after the amount is finalized and before shipment.
- Full Service requires payment of the initial fee before the investigation begins. The remaining fee will only be charged if the item is found. The Delivery Handling Fee will be charged separately after the amount is finalized and before shipment.

- Search Service: 150 USD
- Pickup & Delivery Service: 300 USD

Language
This Commercial Disclosure is prepared in Japanese and English. In the event of any discrepancy between the Japanese version and the English version, the Japanese version shall prevail.
