Exchanges & Returns Policy
Regarding No Refunds or Returns Due to the Nature of the Service
Our service involves acting on behalf of customers for specific item searches or retrievals. Due to the nature of these services, the following terms apply
- Item Retrieval Service
- This fee covers the cost of preparing your found item for collection and delivery. Cancellations or refunds are not accepted once the service has commenced.
- Location Assistance Service
- This fee covers the cost of investigation and inquiry to locate your lost item. The fee paid for this service is non-refundable, regardless of whether the item is found, as it covers the time, personnel costs, and expenses incurred during the investigation.
Our Liability for Loss or Damage to Items
Regarding the loss or damage of an item, if it occurs during the Item Retrieval Service and is clearly due to our direct negligence, our total liability shall be limited to the total service fees you paid directly to Japan Lost and Found Service for that specific service (excluding shipping costs, customs duties, and taxes).
The loss or damage of items during transit is the responsibility of the shipping carrier. We are not liable for damages caused by the shipping carrier, but we will cooperate to the extent possible if you need to make inquiries with them.
The condition of the item will be determined based on its state at the time of retrieval.
Cancellation of Service Agreement
Due to the nature of our services, cancellations initiated by the customer after a request has been made are generally not accepted. However, you may cancel your request before the payment is completed via Stripe.
Delivery times
- Item Retrieval Service
- After your lost item has been collected, we will begin arranging international shipping. Typically, it takes 3 to 20 business days for the item to arrive at your destination after shipping arrangements are made. Tracking information will be provided.
- Location Assistance Service
- It typically takes 3 to 7 business days from the start of the investigation to report the results. This period may vary depending on the complexity of the search.
Accepted payment methods
Credit card payments only (subject to the payment services provided by Stripe).
Payment period
Credit card payments are processed immediately. Full payment is required before the commencement of the service.
Price
Prices are as listed on each service page (excluding consumption tax and additional fees).
