“I left my backpack on the Keikyo Line in Tokyo. The attendants at Shinagawa Station were kind and tried to be helpful, but ultimately could only give me a number to the lost and found hotline. Language was a barrier for me, and I wasn’t sure I would ever see my backpack (and camera) again. I messaged Yusuke the next day. He responded right away, asked some clarifying questions, and within 3 hours let me know exactly where to pick up the bag and gave me a reference number for the lost item office at the station where the bag ended up (1 hour away). The pick up process was smooth and easy. I’m sure I would have never seen my bag again without Yusuke’s help. He’s a lifesaver!”

“I left my purse near my gate in a gift shop at Tokyo Airport and I didn't discover it was missing until mid-flight. I had many credit cards, $495 US, make-up, medication, plus the wallet and the purse itself. Knowing how honest the Japanese are I thought I would make an attempt to get it back assuming an honest person would turn it in to the Lost and Found in the International Terminal. When I googled the Lost and Found I saw an ad for Japan Lost and Found Service. It would be $400 plus shipping to have the item collected and shipped and while that was a little on the expensive side, the plus was that I could deal with one contact person with the 13 hour time difference who spoke perfect English. The process took a little while as the Japanese do things in a very careful structured way but Yusuke was very supportive and reached out immediately and stayed in touch throughout the whole process daily with highly clear and detailed emails. I thought he could just collect the bag, pack it up and ship it but there are a lot of regulations and customs procedures to be followed - for example I did not find out until after I paid the $400 that the make up, medication and cash could not be returned in the mail. However I was able to get the purse, wallet, credit cards returned and Yusuke had me set a Wise account which was an app that could transfer the remaining cash into my US account. It depends on how much you want to get something back but if you do want something returned I recommend using Yusuke's service without reservation. He is diligent, thorough, kind and professional. It seemed to take a few weeks to complete the process but that was slowed because of the time difference. If I would have made sure to return all his emails on Japan time instead of sleeping it would have good much more quickly!”

“I had forgotten my laptop backpack in shinkansen train from Osaka to Tokyo, enroute straight to Narita airport for my return flight, bt the time i realized that laptop bag was missing we were already reaching the airport, it was very difficult moment because all work related and lot of personal data was on the laptop. There was no chance to contact the authorities to trace the bag, after reaching Dubai I did try calling the JR central lost and found dept, they were very kind in listening to my panick situation, however it was tedious to have a tri-party call where a translator is also included to convert information from English to Japanese, after following up and waiting for some answer for 2 days i decided to try Japan Lost and Found Service, since it involved paying after my lost package was found it gave me confidence and seamless process communication in English made things really easy and smooth, My advice, if you lost something in Japan, contact Mr.Yusuke😊, and have patience patience & patience, the process is straight forward but definitely works and gives result.”

“We were unable to access our luggage from a coin locker in Shinjuku after losing the QR code and not using an IC card to pay. Since we had to catch the Narita Express to make our flight, we had no choice but to leave the bag behind. After returning home, we contacted Yusuke for help. He was extremely helpful and handled the entire process for us — collecting our luggage and offering several options to send it to Australia. “We lost our child’s journal at a hotel during our trip. Yusuke helped us determine which hotel and that it had been thrown away by the staff. We also overlooked an iPad and AirPods as we got off the Shinkansen. We knew before we left the station they were lost, but the train had departed. We tried to collect them through the online chat (unsuccessful) and then the local police station but the station requires someone to be in person for pickup and by then we were 5+ hours away. Our trip ended without us being able to retrieve them. After a quick Google search, we found Yusuke. He collecting the items and shipped them home to us in the USA. When I lost my MacBook on my honeymoon, I felt the same anxiety many travelers experience — far from home, unable to communicate, and unsure what to do next.
That experience inspired me to create a service that helps international visitors recover their lost items in Japan — safely, personally, and with care.
Every case is handled personally by our team, with the same care and attention we'd give our own belongings.
